N11662 - ABS Dorade Box w/ Cowl Red - 11662 - Keep mold and mildew in check, eliminate musty odors and vent interior spaces of hazardous fumes with one or more pairs of cowl vents or dorades. Turn the vent forward to introduce fresh air into the cabin; turn it aft and it becomes an exhaust vent. To prevent rain or spray from entering through the cowl, select a model that includes a dorade. Plastimos ventilating dorades and dip-molded PVC cowls are the preferred choice of Europe s largest boat builders for their softness, UV-resistance, easy installation and their smooth and shiny good looks. These cowls are flexible, yet tough enough to with stand kicks, snags and wallops. The snap-on cowl includes a trim ring and watertight cover. Rigid ABS plastic dorades help prevent rain, waves and spray from entering your boats interior, so you can leave the boat and it will continue to ventilate. The deck cutout is at the opposite end of the dorade from the cowl, and is protected by a sleeve that acts like a chimney to prevent water from entering the cabin. While air continues to flow in, water falls to the bottom of the dorade and drains out through the drain holes. When heavy rain, spray or waves threaten, simply screw on the storm cap (included) to prevent water intrusion.
